About the client:
The client, Ecobirch, is Baltics’ largest producer of custom-made birch and pine glulam boards, finger-jointed components, and birch shields.
The first phase of the engagement :Ecobirch selected Columbus to carry out the initial business analysis stage to identify the main problems in its existing processes and propose digital solutions to eliminate them.
Ecobirch’s objective for the analysis was to:
- Make existing processes more cost-effective and increase their efficiency
- Improve planning and product delivery throughout the supply chain
- Reduce wastage
- Improve overall performance and enable analytical capabilities
- Make optimal use of the available business software
Result: Columbus compiled an overview of the processes and the bottlenecks which existed across the organization. Following this, we proposed new digital solutions and upgrades to address and mitigate these challenges.
In addition, we proposed a digital vision and a roadmap to achieve the desired state.
