About Logitrans

Logitrans-1

A common business system in three different countries created synergy effects for Logitrans. Together with iStone, they went from having a handful of different systems to a new united solution with M3.

Logitrans Danish headquarters used Movex RPG since many years back, and were uncertain if they should upgrade or invest in a completely different system for a long time. The uncertainty disappeared when Infor became owners of Movex 2011 and started to focus on product development.

When Logitrans' unit in China grew a need for common business system arose. The conclusion was made that M3 would become the new common system for the units in Denmark and China and the US subsidiary. Logitrans  already had a support agreement with iStone for RPG, so it was natural to choose iStone as a partner for the upgrade and implementation.

Upgrade and implementation in several steps

  • The project began with a 1: 1 upgrade from RPG to M3 version 13.3 in the Danish part of the business.
  • The project proceeded with the implementation of the same system in the US and China.
  • The last step of the project was to utilize the new possibilities in the new version of M3, including route planning, automatic freight calculation and facility accounting.

The project was carried out according to the set schedule and budget, and Logitrans is satisfied with iStones effort.

"iStone's consultants have been good at questioning our way of working and making us discover better solutions than those we had in mind. They have not only improved the system but also served as improvement consultants for our business, "says Anders Grönbech, IT Manager at Logitrans.

Synergy effects and better working methods

Through the Multiple Unit Coordination feature, Logitrans eliminated a lot of manual handling of internal transactions, and can now consolidate operations in a simple and efficient manner. The joint planning has also been improved with Scheduling Workbench Scheduling.

"Having a common platform has facilitated efficiency both in regards to the system as well as our way of working. We get big synergies through joint finances and planning, "says Anders Grönbech.
